I have a 67 Tempest/GTO clone that I put bucket seats in. I used the bench seat mounts for the outside bolts and use the bucket seat bracket kit for the insides. Problem is, my seatbelt retractors will not fit between the door and the seat anymore. Is this common? Should I just take everything loose and scoot it over so that everything will clear okay?

assuming you welded the brackets in the correct position...
did you bolt the seats thru the 'outside' hole in the rear (vs inside)? this will give you almost an inch laterally on the side. also look at whether you have the retractors installed correctly. there is a R and L. hope this helps... |

There is two bolt holes in the back on the outside of the seat and the floor of the car. So I used two bolts. I was thinking about scooting the hole seat toward the middle of the car about an inch and only catching one bolt. Of course I'll have to move the inside brackets in an inch as well. I think I may need another bracket. I noticed the parts place sells a bracket kit that has 4 brackets in it. It says it makes it just like GM. This picture shows the bracket I am talking about. It is the front outside individual perch. Do I need that?
