I guess he's truly not interested in selling it to you then!!
What is the story behind these mini mats? Were they in dealer only option catalogues? |

These were basically just loose samples that were displayed at the parts counter. They were made in all available colors. Not positive on what year they came out, but probably late 60's given the colors of them. I have a set of single mats in every color, just looking for some different or extra ones. They make cool drink coasters! Grant |

FYI... emailed the seller on ebay about the mat that was listed. I had asked some pretty simple questions (as instructed to do in his ad) and the guy "went off" on me! He even posted his reply to me on ebay... what a jerk this guy is! I wouldn't buy a thing from him.

Contact Ned Anello @ 617-782-7478. He makes the single mats. He is in Boston.

COOL Mats!
Grant - Those are really cool items! Glad you are having some luck finding them. Try getting something like that at a dealership these days.

I have a full front floor mat or two somewhere in my collection, I collected them 20 years ago. I was told then that the dealer staff used them as drink coasters...

That's great! I can imagine that many of them went home with the employees after the dealers were done with them. Too cool to just toss out!

'69 Accessories Brochure...
Was just looking through my '69 sales manual and saw this page in the accessories section of the brochure... looks like these could be photos of the sample mats, but with the crests painted silver. If so, they do show a rear sample mat as well...
