Default Your favorite unpopular or unknown movie

I was talking to the guys I work with about our favorite movies that never really got too much attention (or everyone hates) for one reason or another. I figured it might make an interesting thread. Maybe I’ll see a good movie or two I never heard of before.
One of my favorites is “Night of the Juggler”. James Brolin’s daughter gets kidnapped in NYC and he tries to catch the abductor. He’s an ex cop who turned in a few crooked officers, so the NYPD basically ignores his situation. Non stop action as Brolin tears the city apart trying to catch the kidnapper. It’s kind of dated as I think it came out in the early 80’s or so. If you can find a copy somehow check it out!

Anybody else got one?

Haha! That was another one of mine. I just figured most people had heard of it. Seems the guys younger than 30 or so never had

If that qualifies, add me. Outstanding way to spend a couple of hours. Douglas nailed it.

TV Movie

"Manhunt" or "Manhunter"

Starred Ken Howard (The White Shadow) as a 30's era Gangster hunter. I've been looking for a copy for years.

I was a huge fan of the Speed Racer remake from a decade or so ago. I thought it did a great job of capturing the animation spirit in live action.

I also have a soft spot for Blood Sport.

I like the Noir Alley series on TMC. These are 'B' crime movies made from the mid 40s-early 50s. Of these I like Double Indemity with Barbara Stanwyck and Fred McMurray and The Postman Always Rings Twice with Robert Mitchum.

Being it's getting close to Halloween, how about the 1944 movie The Uninvited. Also the Phantasm series of movies.

So far, I'd say half of the movies mentioned don't fit that criteria.

The Last Ride, starring a 69 Judge, the 21st century GTO, and Dennis Hopper.

Duel, taken from the book, 52 Miles To Terror. Starred Dennis Weaver and the guy with the sunglasses.... You can't forget the soulless 281 series Peterbilt with the 50s Fruehauf tanker.

The California Kid, starred Martin Sheen and Vic Morrow (Rat Patrol on TV). 34 Ford flamed hot rod, and another murderous Exner series 57 Plymouth Fury, related to the 58 Plymouth Fury, Christine.

Thunder in Carolina (1960), Rory Calhoun and Alan Hale (The Skipper on Gilligans Island). Also in the movie was Connie Hines (Carol Post, Wilbur Post's wife on Mr. Ed)

Thunder Road (1958), with James Mitchum, James Mitchum also sang the theme song in the movie.
