Off the top of my head a 69 COPO Camaro or maybe a 69 TA. I build quite a few rare engines and always get a bit nervous in regards to theft. I try to be clever and take precautions like I did with this 1968 RA 2 engine.

Probably the most expensive car I ever worked on I am not at liberty to talk about for another 27 years.
But - I will post this random photo for no particular reason. K

I did the Holley Carbs on a 1967 Shelby Fastback GT500 428 engine many years ago.
I was told his car was worth between $220,000 and $245,000 (if he sold it. Low mileage car.) Sounds like a massive amount of money vs the original cost of the car from Shelby. Tom V.

Probably this Corvette. I had to do emergency body and paint work to it after my employer damaged it. The owner at the time had paid over 500K at auction. It is a well known car in survivor condition. The body damage I repaired was never disclosed and documented. This was after the Nabor brothers had their hand in it. https://www.corvetteblogger.com/2009...ette-Roadster/
I’ve restored others that sold in excess of 200K. |

I had a 1936 ford coupe, 1960 T-Bird and 1967lincoln, all made of stainless steel in my shop at the same time. Not sure what they cost, but I would guess the combined value to be over a million. Had the 36 in by itself a couple of times. I'd like to thank Allegheny Ludlum Steel and Hall industries for the pleasure. There were 6 of the 36 coupes made with only 4 remaining, 3 of the 67 lincolns were made and 2 of the 1960 T-Birds. All three have had starter and generator work done by Stellar Generator in Pittsburgh Pa.
