All of a sudden, my '71 Firebird (350) is running very rough. Starts fine. Idles great at first. After about 10 seconds, it gets real rough, like a plug wire is off. After about 30 seconds there is a voltage surge at which time the left dash blinker light comes on and the tach quit working (like when the dash is not grounded well). It goes through this sequence with every fresh start.

My car has the original points iginition. Points, condenser, distributor cap, and coil are all new or fairly new. Thanks for the help.
