New Monster Comes to Life
Hi all,
Just thought that you might enjoy a few pics of another Pontiac monster that came to life yesterday. The car is an original 1976 455, 4-speed car that still has less than 100K original. It was restored by tstevea who posts here. The car was sold after its restoration to a good friend of ours to make room for Steve's 1970 T/A. The new owner, Carroll, has just completed the installation of a KRE d-port headed 455 monster that was assembled by Windy City Engineering in Chi-Town. The original driveline is tucked away safe and sound, and the car is now the ultimate pump gas sleeper. Motor is a .060" over '75 block, KRE 320 cfm heads, KRE spec'd solid cam, RARE repro manifolds with 2 1/2" full exhaust, Flowmasters, HSD intake, Holley 950, WFO drop base (not shown), DUI distributor, Crower rods, etc.. KRE promised an easy 550HP, and judging by the sound, it has got to be right there. In the last photo, the owner can be seen talking to a neighborhood kid in a stock late model T/A. The kid stopped by to inquire if the owner was interested in racing. He said no, that it was just a restored car, but that he would see him around the neighborhood later this summer. It should be an interesting meeting!
