Les, no worries about the top photo. The pics you took tell the story. Thank you so much.
I had a friend back in the 80's who did what you are doing but he ran the 5/16" tubes down along the inner wheel wells then attached rubber hoses and then ran them through the upper trunk part so that the hoses came out above the rear axle.
Ive never seen it so your pics now give me a better idea on how to do my 66 Goat.
