Date codes under hood.
Delco-Remy products “did not” use the letter “I” in their date codes.
Carter was the same, no “I” in their date codes. The letter “I” was used in date codes on all other components. Engine Block (I 14 4) = Sept. 14, 1964 Intake Manifold (I 15 4) = Sept. 15, 1964 LH Cylinder Head (I 11 4) = Sept. 11, 1964 RH Cylinder Head (I 17 4) = Sept. 17, 1964
