I still have the stock steely‘s on my 1964 Pontiac Catalina. The conversion is complete and now has an S 10 booster as well, however this current generation of the scarebird bracket does not clear the 14” wheel. I really don’t want to go with larger wheels because I love the stock hubcap spinners.
It also seems that there is some issue with going with standard wheels in the rear as well. And as a result have no idea if the wheel I am looking at would clear. So, my question has anyone replaced the studs on the front hub with longer studs and used a spacer on the 14” wheel to get the clearance? If no, does anyone know if a 17x8” with 4.5” offset would fit in the rear? Pic of Charlie: ![]() Last edited by Presidio; 04-14-2023 at 03:30 PM. |
