This is "service vehicle soon" and not "service engine soon". This is on my twenty year old 2004 GTO. I bought this car new and it currently has 112,000 miles. It has never spent a day in a shop except for tires and inspections. The car is TOTALLY stock with NO modifications. Runs and drives just like it did on day one.
I have had the "service engine soon" light on my GMC Envoy and that resulted in replacing the cat converters. But I have never seen this "service vehicle soon" light. From what I could find searching it could be something as simple as a light bulb, or something more serious and only a certain scan tool could pinpoint the issue as it is not an obd-2 code reader event. I love this car and have never kept a new car this long and have no plans of getting rid of it. So does anybody have any experience in dealing with "service VEHICLE soon" warnings? |
