Gas tank sending unit
Ok, got rid of the repro sending unit. Registers the correct amount of gas in tank. The question is, when I turn of ing switch the gauge goes to infinity. When I turn the key back on, it goes to what sin the tank. If I disconnect the battery, the same thing happens. Is this ok? Is there something to do so this doesn't happen. Thoughts??

it's been my experience with older GM cars that the needle either stays in place or goes above full when the igntion is turned off
