Maybe someone had to much to drink and was trying to impress April Rose.

I was looking for an explanation on that one also. Yours sounds as plausible as any I can think of.

The description didn't mention whether it was numbers matching, only that it was the correct carburetor.

Good point. Strong money for a car with little info. Looks like the rarer Formulas are finally getting their monetary recognition.
The green SD T/A was a no sale at a high bid of $82,000. http://www.mecum.com/auctions/lot_de...=&startRow=121 The same car was high bid at another Mecum Dallas auction in Sept 2013 at $90,000. http://www.mecum.com/auctions/lot_de...=DA0913-165503 |

It seems like only us Pontiac-a-philes like that color. The collector type guys seem to ignore the green SD's for the most part.

Got a question on radiators.
My 73 4-speed SD has an FP radiator in it, complete with radiator tag. The car is low mile and it looks to be original. Can someone verify what these cars should have? Thanks!

SD exhaust question
Did 73-74 SDs have in line resonators before the cross flow muffler? Just looked at an article photo in Hemmings Muscle car, noticed what looked like chambered lead pipes or small resonators.

74 SD Y8 Block
Have a Y8 block with a A093 date code and the vin is 24N131895, don't see it on the registry, close to anyone's build date. I was told most were cast in 72?

A lot of the 1974 SD blocks were cast like yours.
1973 had a lot of the 72 cast dates, but still some 74 had them. What is the EUN on it? EUN Input Form To see some others like yours: EUN Search Type 1974 in year and 490132 in block code.

My survivor, July-built, 73 Formula SD has its original exhaust and no resonators. A friend's survivor 73 SD T/A built around the same time has them. Maybe it was a supplier issue? |

Thanks for listing this. So I guess I need to search for an FT code radiator. Can anyone confirm what tanks these had on both the driver and passenger side?
Cheers, Tim

Steve, was your friends car an auto or 4 speed? Just wondering if the transmission made the difference on '73 SD's like it did on some if the GTO's in regard to the resonators?
