If repro 68/69 Tempest fenders are not selling it's probably due to the quality. Why pay hundreds of dollars for something that will need significant 'reworking' to get them straight ?
Perhaps people are simply choosing to patch the originals. I say put more effort into the quality of sheet metal. Saving a buck in tooling will cost you in the long run. |

68 Firebird M.T. Back-Up Light Switch Bracket
(part # 9790771) Supposedly, some were made by Jim Stubbings a few years back however, at $65 ea, I would think this could be done much cheaper. (laser cut blanks are cheap, minimal work for die form tool). Thanks Chris ! [ July 16, 2002, 07:08 PM: Message edited by: RamAirJohn ] |

DELCO SPIRAL SHOCKS !!!
Yes, they are 'inferior' compared to modern shocks however, updated internals with correct appearing housings would be very nice. Plus, look at the applications/usage (many years) This would apply across all GM products too. Correct repros would be great for daily drivers and concours level cars. No more using worn out 30+ yr old shocks just for looks. Thanks Chris ! |

Correct Custom Walnut Shifter Knobs ('67-'70)
Yes I know, there is/was a repro version of the "PMD" 4-spd version a few years back however, the lucite? insert was not even close. If it's possible to make it close, why not make it exact ? Used/NOS examples going for $200+ on EBAY is crazy Thanks Chris ! |

HURST WHEELS (add me to the bunch !)
With today's technology, I'm sure a set could be made for less than the $10k that a set went for on EBAY. Years ago I thought Mr Gasket/Cragar looked into this and said it was "cost prohibitive" in order to produce them exactly as originals. $10k can buy a few sets of nice aftermarket wheels today. |

Poverty hub caps. Nothing looks retro like a car decked out with a set of poverty caps.

I'd like to see the clear plastic '70-72 Firebird seat belt shoulder harness hanger clip reproduced. Every early Firebird I have seen either has them broken or some kind of aftermarket hardware store style cobble-job.

Is there any chance you will offer show quality front and rear bumpers for 68 Firebirds within the next few years? I have been waiting for years to buy them. No one offers them.

Any chance of making the 68 Firebird steering wheel? EVERY one on EVERY car has multiple cracks. I would think there would be a huge interest in this item. Thanks.

1969 Firebird/TA How about repopping the protective foam sleeve on the heater hose (over the LH valve cover) and the protective sleeve the goes over the radiator hose and protects it from rubbing on the ram air pan or air cleaner. I've never seen anyone that has these. Thanks for repopping the stove pipe pinch clamp!!

I would like to see heavy duty trunk lid torsion bars for people adding rear spoilers to thier cars. I specifically would like them for a 70 GTO. I mean how hard could it possibly be, they should be right in all the parts books right under the repo Judge spoilers that every book has in it. Its just a coupl a long bars with twists on em... JUST MAKE 'EM PLEASE!!!!!

How about the hard to find, Air Cleaner Assy for the shaker scoop used from 73-80.
If you intend on mouting this on a Holley carb, some minor modifications are necessary. If someone would make a crome replication of this that would be outstanding!! |
