I was looking for some help/pointers/tips for removing the frame from chassis of a 70 gto. The frame is already on a couple cement blocks and the back of the car is still on the wheels. I have removed EVERYTHING from the front of the car and this weekend removed just about everything from inside the car.
a) what else needs to be done before removing the frame? b) what is the advised way to do this (my garage is SMALL!) Front view of car inside of car |

I'LL TELL U WHAT I DID/AM DOING...YOU WILL NEED TO UNDO ALL BODY BOLTS (8 - 10) THEN I WOULD JACK UP THE FRONT OF THE CAR SLIGHTLY OFF THE FRAME AND PUT A 4 X 4 BETWEEN THE BODY AND THE FRAME, THEN THE SAME IN THE REAR, GET IT HIGH ENOUGH SO U CAN SUPPORT THE BODY ON BLOCKS OF THEIR OWN, THEN ROLL OUT THE FRAME, THE REAR WHEELS MIGHT NEED TO COME OFF TO GET IT OUT SINCH THAT IS THE HIGHEST SPOT, ONCE CHASSIS IS OUT, SECURE THE BODY SO U FEEL COMFORTABLE WORKING UNDERNEATH IT...HOW DID U BLAST THE UNDERNEATH, WHAT TYPE OF MEDIA, BLASTER, COMPRESSOR, ...ETC, IT LOOKS GOOD SO FAR.

thanks for the reply!
I have a 6HP Sears compressor and picked up a cheap sand blaster kit from Sears for about $60. The media I used was glass bead from harbor freight. It does a really nice job. |

I have used almost two 20 pound boxes. But I have also done the upper and lower control arms, crossmember, bumper mounts,...
