I know, I know, no traction.....but once you're past that:

I have a set of rear NOS Delco pleasur-lift air shocks for my 69 bird and a few questions. They came with all attaching hardware, but no lines. Any answers are appreciated!

1. One has 1 hose inlet and the other has 2. I'm assuming the one with 2 inlets acts as the "T" for the lines, particularly since the air valve isn't a "T", it's straight. Correct?

2. The one with 1 inlet installs on the LH side and the one with 2 inlets goes on the RH side. Correct?

3. Anyone know where to order correct lines? I bought a cheap-o plastic set but I can't figure out how to make the lines stay in the inlets. There are rubber O-rings for the lines but even trying to use those the lines pull right out of the inlets.

4. Advice to mount the air valve? I was thinking towards the rear of the trunk by the decklid latch.

Thanks,

John

the line set should have had nuts that secure the lines to the shocks.

alot of the cars with flip down license plates mount the fill valve behind the plate in the valance.

check out a 69 service manual for the location of the shocks.

as a side note run about 25 lbs of air in the shocks at all times.

Like Mike said. On my '71 LeMans (with pull-down license plate), access to the air shock valve is to the lower right of the gas cap ...

I was thinking about inside the trunk but I like those suggestions much better.

Where to find the correct lines? I've been searching around and haven't found them yet....

try a delco parts house.

about a yr 1/2 ago delco specified that there outlets would be delco only [ or so i was told], ask around at a good parts store and see if any are local to you.
