I received this list of a color breakdown for the 70 judge convertible from a Pontiac collector. He informed me he received it from a man who assembled the cars at the factory and had a record of the color breakdown. Not sure if it is accurate.

Wow, that's really cool information.

168 cars total.

Any breakdown for non-vert Judges?

Judgeman, do we have to go through this again?

Why should I use this list as gospel? Where did it come from?

It's a cool list to look at and fantasize about, but I'm not going to tell anyone that it is anything other than a guide. If you want to promote your own misinformation, that's your business, but there's enough bad info out there so you've got some good competition!

Those numbers don't exist at the moment. Some guy on the Yenko site said his friend's father (or something like that) worked in the plants and kept track of this stuff.

We don't know who this guy is or whatever. And there's a lot of colors listed that were not RPO. PHS doesn't have these numbers, and they're the ones who can find out for sure as they have the 900,000-odd invoices from 1969. So if PHS doesn't know, why should we believe this?

Truth be told, the original poster claimed it was not 100% accurate. But if we do not use caution, you can guess what kind of stuff people will be saying on eBay . . . and on this board.

You would have to have somebody at EVERY plant tracking colours to do this,I don't understand why they would want to do that for the JUDGES.

Why doesn't some web site like GTOAA or UltimateGTO have a survey to try to document these? Having only 168 convertibles should get a list and at least see if there are a different number for the colors, i.e. more than 1 Burgandy convertible, etc.

I agree with you 100%.When doing research on anything being accurate is the way to go.Thos Judge#'s that was posted,I'm sure that the work that was done on doing this research was for personal satisfaction. All the person did was to post those numbers so that other people can see those numbers. As long as the person posts that the numbers are not 100% correct then its fine.Giving false hope is saying that those numbers are 100% right.
