I have another frame that is already finished, its painted with new disc brakes and all stainless lines, front end parts and poly bushings. This is the stuff i can do but body work is something i have no experience in.I'am leaving the body on the old rusted out frame to do the work on,then i will lift it off and mount it on the new frame.I would like to have the body done and prepped for paint and put in primer, then when it get on the new frame have it painted.I think that would be the best way to go.What do you think. This is my first body off resto.I'am not in a big rush i still have to pull the engine and tranny and go thru it.Just looking for a body shop to make some plans with.

That sounds like a very good plan indeed. I am not a body man by no means but I am in the middle of major panel replacements etc. I am going to do all the metal replacement then once that is all done do the Bondoing that will be required. Not looking forward to that part though.

Hope you find a good body shop

Bill

I am in dayton, The guy did my car is on rt 40 betwen 201 & 202. he did it back in 81 and it still looks good, clear is breaking down but I don't think that is his fault. His name is Enis Hord with National Body Shop 937-845-1957. Let me know if I can help any other way.

Hey Don
Any experience with Loxley here in Beavercreek? Heard a lot of good about them. And have seen a lot of "wrecks" coming out looking pretty good. A bit pricey I was told. But found a few miserable mistakes on my buddies car. Looked good from the outside, if you know what I mean.

So let me get this straight:
Your Honda has 1.6 liters and my bottle of Mountain Dew has 2?

When I was in the bodyshop business in the 80s Loxley's had a great reputation as a bodyshop. I still hear good things about them although I'm not in that business anymore.

I'll stick with Loxely when the time comes, I have seen their work and I am impressed, other then a couple stupid things on my Camaro. Especially since I can "push" the car that far.
Hey gto2003, may want to look into them yourself. About 20 minutes east of Dayton right off of 35.

Thanks will call them when the time comes probaly in the spring.I'am sure thats there busy time also.Would you be able to get me the number it would probaly be a good idea to call them in advance and show the car to them see what they think about it and a price quote. Are they resonable ? You get a lot of differant prices when shopping for a body shop.I dont have to have the cheapest just want quality work at a fair price and someone who takes pride in what they do instead of just getting the job done as fast as they can to get the next guy in.

Loxley Bros 426-9851
What happened with the Camaro, was my friends car at the time, he got rear ended by a pick up. Should have been totaled. They got it back together though looking like a new one. I did find where they missed putting some bolts back on the rear fiberglass, along the whole bottom, and the paint job ended a little early but was covered by bumper. But this was a 87 insurance job, I'm sure on a classic more attention would be given.

Not sure of who to recommend in your area but you may want to contact Dee Ray at Ray's Body Shop on St.Rt. 60 just north of McConnelsville, Ohio. Even though it's been several years since I've talked to him I'm familiar with the custom work he has done on his own cars and does a very good job. There is also a guy in White Cottage just south of Zanesville, who's name escapes me at this time, that does excellent work, absolutley flawless paint and body work. Anyone in that area can tell you who he is and how to get there. Those are the best that I now of.

Just talking to a guy in our club this morning at the all Pontiac swap, mentioned he had "Abes" doing it in Granville. I can get the info if you still need it...
