How do you care for or keep alum heads and intakes looking like new? Do you coat them with some type of clear or is there a cleaner to keep them looking like new. I just got my new motor with KRE 85cc heads and RPM intake and want to keep it in like new condition and if I need to spray it and coat everything I need to know now . The motor has been broken in and dynoed so far and thats it.
Thanks for any help.....Mike |

The only thing I can say about keeping alum clean is it takes time.On my bike I used to mothers the engine every thursday.I found that if I sprayed the engine down with pledge it was easier to wipe it down inbetween cleanings just dont use the lemon it reaks.

I had a pair of stained straight-spoke American Racing aluminum wheels. Looked terrible and I bead blasted the centers. They came out a satin silver color and the beads apparently blasted the pores in the metal closed. They were easy to keep clean with simple soap and water.
