Need help reproducing the 73-77 Fender emblem. It says Grand Prix 'by Pontiac' correct? What is the casting number on the back? 491987? If this is it, we have a pattern. If not, we need one! thanks.

On the front fenders behind front wheel....
GRAN
Prix

On the front rt. side & trunk lid rt side
GRAN
PRIX
[by Pontiac]

If you need, I can go and remove for ID.

The "Gran" was used by Plymouth in "Gran Fury".

There is no such thing in the Pontiac world as "Gran Prix"....

chris,
I have a 73 sitting in the driveway

Grand Prix on both fenders.

Grand Prix by pontiac on the trunk.

I can't vouch for originality as the car endured a repaint. But it looks like they did not remove a single trim item on the car prior to painting. serious masking tape job and started spraying.
