I got a set of KYB gas adjust shocks. They have no info with them other than how to mount them to the body & rear, which I can handle since I am taking the old ones off .

My question is: Are these adjustable & if so which direction do you rotate?

Thanks for any info & wisecracks gladly accepted.

Bruce

I've got KYB's on my GTO and like them, but they are not the adjustable style. Adjustable shocks typically have some type of markings that indicate the various positions. With non adjustable shocks you can turn them all day long and not change a thing.

The KYB gas adjust shocks do not have external adjustments. They are set when they are built. I used them on my suspension rebuild. They are a firm ride, but not harsh.

Thought there would be some indication - but with a name like 'Gas Adjust' .

Bought these a good while back for another car, but my old air shocks on my '66 GP got a leak on one side before I could put them on. They should have been swapped out a long time ago.

Hoping that the weight of this big ol' car with A/C & box frame will be a good match for these stiffer shocks.

Thanks for the help.
