I have purchased the PY after market hood tach for my 67 GTO. I have also purchased the aftermarket 65-67 GTO hood so I won't cut a 3.75" hole in my original. I also have the original rally cluster with the tach in dash. If I disconnect the rally tach trigger from the coil, and install the hood tach trigger in its place, can the original in tach guage be damaged?
Does anybody know where a +12V supply can be had in the hood compartment that will have power when the key is on? I'm also worried about trying to run the power wire through the bulkhead. Thanks, Jason Lavers 67 GTO

Jason, if you just disconnect the dash tack before installing the new hood tach, there should be no problem.
Going thru the firewall and tying into the fuse panel should be no problem either. http://www.kurtspontiac.homestead.com/Dannys65GTO.html
