anybody find a fair price on dash restoration?
I have two nice 68 dash bezels, but both have horid looking chrome plating.

Can anyone talk about their experiances on this

I just found this site:

http://www.americanplasticchrome.com/

Any thoughts? They charge $100.00 seems cheap.

Re-chroming is really the only way to get a show quality dash. I've tried just about everything else, and my dash looks crappy.

PY member Darrell Roach of Performance Restorations out of TX has been doing dashes for about 10 years. His work is first quality. I have also used MrG's with good results. Be prepared to wait a LONG time in any case. One key step in this process is the masking and painting of the dash after it has been vacuum metallized. That is the expensive part. American Plastic chrome will only chrome the dash. You have to paint it yourself. I'm moving this thread to "The Body Shop" forum. I think it would be of interest to any 64-68 GTO owner.
