Anyone ever hear of a 77 or 78 Hurst Formula??
Some guy has one that is supposed to be a Hurst Formula but I never knew such a car existed. Its got the Hurst t-tops I do know that and its black with gold around the bottom and I think gold hood scoops.
Thanks, Colin

I had a neighbor that had a car just like you described. It was a nice looking car.

Colin, Sorry no special factory produced Formulas called a "Hurst Formula" during 1977-78 model year. Hurst t-tops were a Firebird option during the 1977-78 model year.

Hope this helps

John

Not a Hurst Formula as Mr. Witzke said, but this may be what you've seen. They're definitely good looking cars. I have no idea whose this is, but I took pics of it at the '02 T/A Nationals.

Later,
Kevin

Last one I can find of this car... it's a beauty, I really like the different way of doing the black/gold thing.

Yep, thats what it looked like. I know about the Hurst t-tops. I was skeptical about a "Hurst Formula" though. It was a nice car...I didnt have the room for it though.

Thats the W50 Appearance package - two tone paint scheme option for Formula cars. Started in 76 with a yellow/black scheme then went to other combinations 77+. Looks great in black/gold, doesn't it?
