I'me looking to change the interior combo on my 68 Cat, but do not want to alter the original ones. Does anyone know if the repop panels that are made for the 67 grand Prix will fit a 68 Catalina? I know the 67's use different arm rest styles, but most importantly, if the holes match up for the door handles and window cranks, I think they would work. Anyone know?

The panels should be no problem. I have a GP and one of the doors is off of a Catalina.

Sorry misread your post, I didn't get using a '67 panel on a '68 door. Tell ya what, I have a junk '67 GP door panel. It is not the prettiest thing in the world, but you would be welcome to it for the cost of boxing it up and shipping it.

Let me know,
-harry

Give me a call tomorrow or the next day and we can figure it out. I have to go over to my project house and pull it off the door it's on.

You can reach me pretty much 9:00am - 9:00pm at 312 560-0721.

Regards,
-harry

Coach, are you saying that 67 GP Door Panels will fit a 67 Catalina door?

Ed,

Yes they are the same door skins and frame, the GP arm rests mount to a set of brackets that attach to the door frame. The other big difference was the inside door handle, the GP is a lever type mechanism and the Catalina is a rotating mechanism.

Hope this helps,
-harry

BAD10, if you order new panels from PY or Ames (both offer repros for '67 GP), you will need to order the convertible panels, since the difference is the molding at the window level. Convertible molding jogs slightly at wing window, where GP hardtop molding is straight due to lack of wing window.
