Does anyone know how many cans of R-12 it will take to completely fill a 67 LeMans? The system is open so it will need a complete fill.

Tim,my ac now blows ice cold. When I had it done the gentleman who did the work told me to drive with the compressor on for 200 miles.the reason is so the oil in the coolant gets into the seals and the R-12$$$$ doesn't just leak back out.He said to keep an eye on the sight gauge on the A.C.and if you see bubbles there is a leak.Good luck.J.Tary

Direct replacment for R-12 is Freeze 12 and is much cheaper here, at Autozone.
