Sorry Tiki,I can GUARANTEE its NOT UnionGrove dragaway,I know that one from top to bottom, thats not it...

Does'nt look like any close ones around here either.

Kinda looks like one I pass all the time going up north thru Illinois on highway 57,though I've never gotten that good of look at it.

Not sure of the name on that one either???

Yes Fsted, It is Savannah Dragway. I was on a house hunting trip last month and I had to swing by and check it out. It has not changed much in the last 10 years.

savannah dragway...the only place i've been where there's no barrier between the return road and the last couple hundred feet of the track.

If I would have moved for work, I was checking out how close dragstrips were so I could checkout where I might want to live. We need to start turning golf courses into Drag strips ASAP !!! There's not enough tracks!

Not to be a wet blanket or anything, but at our last race club meeting, there was talk about both Sacramento and Infineon, (Sears Point) both being sold and closed down in the near future. Anyone living in California knows about the skyrocketing land values. Sac has already left the NHRA for the IHRA, and we expect to see more Sac. racers come up our way to Redding. There was talk of a new track getting built between here and Sac., but you know these left coast tree huggers HATE burning fossil fuels, especially for fun! I think I'll buy myself twenty acres all in a row.

Hey Joel,

Hows that Oldinjun coming along? Get your engine back together yet?

The rumors of Sacto are many, I treat them as what they are, rumors. I do not doubt what you are saying, I just hope it is not something that comes true.

People build houses around airports and race tracks, then they complain about the noise.

I still got that 9"...
