Default Back-up light adjustments

Where is the adjustment or switch for the reverse lights on a 1980 TA they only come on if almost in park.Thanx

Same response, it's on the steering column towards the firewall. It is the neutral safety switch/backup light switch. It has a small tab that fits into the column that is moved by the bracket/rods hooked to the tranny. You loosen the bolts/screws? and slide the switch back and forth for the adjustment.

Thanx Guys , what a weird place but I,m not surprised ! I just added a new head unit ,I love being on my back,up-side down,and putting my fat fingers and arms into small places.
