What's up with my fuel pressure?
I just installed an Aeromotive electric fuel pump and regulator last night with all 6AN fittings and braided line. The pump is supposed to be internally regulated at 6 to 8 psi and the regulator is supposed to work between 5 and 12 psi. I started the engine and the gauge is pegged at 10+psi. I have a 400ci with a tripower and I know I shouldn't go over about 5 psi or I'm liable to flood the carbs or even wash the cylinders. It seems that the regulator isn't working at all, even with the dial screw completely out. Any suggestions or ideas?

Hmmm, maybe try with the regulator screw cranked down?

I tried the screw in different locations but no change in pressure. The instructions for the regulator say to turn the screw clockwise to increase pressure. I think I'm just about done with the electric pumps, it's so loud I can hardly hear myself think. I'll call Aeromotive on Monday and see what they say, I doubt if Summit will take back a fuel pump that's been used, but I might give it a shot.
