Nitrate cranks
How many shops recommend and do it ,Esp to Eagle and Scat cranks.
how can you tell if it has been done , It was recommended to me to do Eagle cranks and Scat cranks, because they are a soft metal and this will help bearing life Thanks Rob |

Nitriding is a surface hardening treatment. I don't believe that it will improve bearing life but it can reduce crank journal wear the same as hard chroming does. I think it is a personal choice thing. I have my cranks cryogenically treated to improve crank life.
