Need Advice Before I Dive In
We have a 78 Trans Am with a brake issue and I wanted to run it by this forum before I dig into it in hopes of getting an idea where to start. Here's the problem:
Under normal braking, the harder you press the brake, the more the stopping force. In this case, about one third or half-way into the brake pedal, the car all of sudden comes to a screeching halt. It only happens the first couple of times we hit the brake pedal after the car has sat for a while. After that, it resumes normal braking. It seems like the issue is with the front passenger brake, based on the test driving. Any ideas or recommendations? I am thinking I have a caliper problem, but I am not sure. |

Thanks, that's what I figured. I'm posting for replacement recommendations in the other forum for this model car. 'Preciate it!
