To do a "1/2 spacer" deal, be it 3" mains in a 3.25 block, 2.75 mains in a 3" block, etc you will need a custom cap to have the right bearing shell dimension for the smaller bearing and still have the correct dowell and bolt spacing for the basic block used. Expensive but stronger than a double spacer deal AND THE BLOCK SHELL SPACER WILL NOT TURN, GUARANTEED! LOL!
Agree with Jack. Tom V.

All of the present All Pontiac blocks are 3" mains, I believe so what would the point be? They are selling lots of 4.0, 4.25, and 4.5 stroke 3" main cranks that fit their blocks just fine.
So what you are asking for is special main caps that have a revised drilling bolt pattern/dowel hole for the current factory 3.25" blocks and a block spacer so that you guys can use the 3" cranks? Mention it to Bob and Frank. Tom V.

I've got a good 3.25 block(maybe 2) I would love a good crank for without springing for a billet. Medium HP range.

Just called Wade at BOP to put my name on a 4.5 stroke unit. Now, just gotta get the IAII block. Wonder if my ex will reduce my maintenance amount to help finance my 535? Probably not.....
