Default 9799914 block with YD stamping...

This isn't adding up or I'm missing something.

I just checked the wallace racing site, and it comes up as a 70 400, 290 hp, auto trans motor.

I didn't check that site before. It's the only one showing the two codes for the same year.

Interesting this 290 HP block is drilled for 4 bolt mains...

I'm no expert, but I think alot of blocks are drilled for 4 bolt caps, they just came with 2 bolt caps.

I'm no expert,but I thought all 1970 400ci blocks were drilled for 4 bolt mains.Only the Ram Air III and Ram Air IV had the 4 bolt main caps.
