If I hadn't already bought a honda element SC. It looks good. 428 and 4-speed.

I agree. Nice car. Unfortunately I can't swing it. I'm so broke I can't afford to pay attention.

so sell the element and buy the g/p. that'd be a fun ride for sure, add a set of 8lugs or rallys and you're set.

I would. But this is Minneaota where the snow gets too deep to drive a GP in the winter : ) Plus I have only 480 miles on the element.

buy an old truck /blazer, scout or bronco for the snow, and use the payment money saved from the element to fix the pontiac and the truck.

so what do you think of the element?

Mike,
I really like a lot and I'm glad I bought it. It's the SC version. Which i guess is the "sportier" version. Has 18 inch wheels and lower than the others.

I replaced a Jetta I had for 10 years and wanted something that had more room to carry stuff.

It's amazing how big this thing is inside. Plus the modern convenience of power windows, remote key entry etc. are nice to have. A car payment after 6 years of not having one isn't nice to have though : )

On the 64 Catalina front. I have just replaced all the shocks, getting an alignment after the upper ball joints are replaced. Also just ordered a rear sway bar from Fabcraft. Really nice people to deal with.

But I'm also trying to figure out why my car is not starting up that well. Runs like chitty chitty bang bang for about 3 minutes and then runs fine. Had a problem with the demon carb and thought I got it straighted out but will have to revisit it. Hopefully I don't have a blown head gasket (checking it this weekend too.)

Even with problems I really like the 64cat (and I though about getting rid of it a month ago What a idiot: )

Karl, good to see you posting - you haven't been around the boards much lately.

That 428 Grand Prix is a pretty cool car, I saw it in person a couple years ago at a car show somewhere. It's been advertised here on the PY boards for quite a while (I posted a link to an earlier Craigslist ad months and months ago) but for some reason no one's snapped it up yet.

Hi Stuart,
I've been watching but had a hard time getting logged in for a while but now that's all straighten out.

How's the '61 doing?

Get ready for a hot one this weekend.

I'm hoping thats' what it is. The demon does have an auto choke, so I'll just have to take a look at it.
