Mike, anytime you want to come out to CT and do the conversion I'll give you free room and board for as long as you need to get it done! Hide-aways would look awesome on this yacht but I've barely got time to get the basics done, let alone custom work.

The exterior is pretty well done, just need to install the wheel well trim. The interior is only half thewre right now. Picked up a brand new Pypes exhuast from Ccass and the PY guys down at E-town on Friday and all sorts of mechanical odds and ends to take care of.

That's one Nice Ride!!! Do you have any straight side shots of it? I want to see if I can make it a 2 door Big GTO.....

The Hide-aways would be cool but the grille would have to be custom made. To bad it was not a simple bolt in. Maybe just a custom aluminum grill would be easier. Pat

i'd seriously think about bolting on a 68 prix bumper asm.

trimming the 69 unit down shouldn't be a big deal tho.

I just wanted to compliment your build up on this 69 Wagon. I love the styling of the 69 wagons and it is nice to see someone build one and use it.
I also have a 69 Bonneville wagon waiting its turn to be built.
Enjoy that car!

Thanks for the compliments Steve. In a way you were one of my inspirations for building a wagon. I've seen pictures and your writings of using your '61 wagon for traveling and towing and it got me thinking of doing the same.
While I actually prefer the styling of the earlier wagons, the safety features and comfort already built in led me to the later cars... and this '69.

The eventual pupose of this car is to take my family and me across the country and back. It was going to be this year but just not enough time (or money ) to get everything done that needs to be done for that big of a trip. Next summer for sure!
One side benefit of having the car is that I can use it as an occasional tow vehicle for my stock appearing T-37. That'll get their attention at the track.
