I did not notice any vibration with mine, but did notice an amperage draw big time lol...
If you want one I have one i will let go for 20.00 plus the shipping cost....from what i have been told those things draw 33 Amps on initial start up, I can almost believe that lol
I swapped back to a clutch fan because I dont really tink I needed the electric, altho I do feel a hp loss when the clutch fan engages.

They do not vibrate if they are secured properly. They DO draw alot of current. Mine tested at 130A spike on startup and 45A continous full speed. I recommend a fan controller, much easier on relays and fuses.

I've got one on my bird. I can flip it on and almost watch the temp gauge start to drop. It does pull the juice though; I installed a 130 amp alternator. If you don't use a fan controller you'll need to use a bosch 75 amp relay, the average 30 amp relay will melt.

Troy, a guy I know has one on his mid 90's BBC truck and has it on low and it stays cool. They tend to heat up just sitting in traffic...

There are a few different models per different years, i am not sure of which are which though. With a controller you don't need two speeds but i suppose some would like it.

They may all be dual speeds but i am sure i read somewhere that some where not, mine has three prongs but i tried every way to hook it up and could only get one speed.

Here is an interesting site with a video of the fan and how it sounds:

put one in my 68 Tempest 350 about a month ago or so now.

VERY hot temps from 95-105 for a good part of the time and was able to run my AC in stop and go traffic.

Much better than my clutch fans performance in traffic. Also saw a small, but measurable, increase in mileage.

have been running it through a 75 amp relay continuously while waiting for my DC Controls controller to arrive.

That thing sounds loud and runs fast! Wondering if it can be put on a rheostat to adjust speed?

Thats what the fan controller does, it adjusts voltage (speed) in proportion to engine temp. The controllers also reduce startup to 50% of full speed for a much smaller current spike.
