I was told this
"For safety sake, I would ditch the glass gas filter and go with an inline aluminum one. It would suck if you threw a fan belt and busted that open." True? Did I make a stupid decision going for the glass one and did I compromise my safety?

I had a plastic one , was told the same thing....go "no see thru" aluminum for safetys sake ...plastic or glass can crack, you might have an engine fire....not pretty!

PLUS the 10 dollar glass filters do not screen out all the crap in the tank and such and sediment will clog up your carb and leave you stranded and flooding out and what ever else.
I liked them too until I dealt with that..
