Default 71 Judge 455 HO 4-SP Project Car on E-Bay

Looks like this one is going to take a whole lot of work. Has some cool options (Power Locks) on the PHS and comes complete with a donor LeMans. Also has a nice set of HO heads and intake manifold. Hate to see one in this sad shape. It almost makes you want to buy it just to try to bring it back to its former glory.

ouch
ouch again !

Pretty wild to see that Hood left out like that resting against Car on ground. Can tell by weed/dirt pattern in picture it has been left that way for a while. Only piece of Car that had any potential to be re-used.

People are bidding, so it should resurrect someday.

People are bidding so they can rebody that thing. Ouch and double ouch......that poor judge. Looks like a tree landed on it. I think the Boss or Steved400 should bid on this car.

Never understood someone who ordered power locks on a 2 door yet no power windows...Easier to reach over to lock/unlock a door than lift/lower a window (manually)....

Ouch!

I don't hate myself that badly. That car needs some lovin'.

I've parted better cars than that.

Even the ebay ad admits the car was neglected its whole life. The only thing this car survived was the strike. Options and colors are highly desirable. I hope it finally gets some love and is restored!

I'm with you robz, give me power windows over power door locks any day. I also question what somebody was thinking when they painted over the Lucey Blue to make the car orange with a blue interior...

Just noticed something interesting on this car. If you look at the picture of the interior, notice how good the knob on the passenger window crank looks. It is not yellowed at all like most you see. Interesting how it managed to survive compared to the rest of the car.

That looks like the same Judge a Pontiac buddy of mine looked at about 5 years ago in Maryville, MO. Could have bought it for $2K but passed on it, too rough.

Remember that VIN. I bet the new owner manages to find the original block. Along with using a new rust converter that turn smashed rust to straight virgin steel.

I like to follow the 71 Judges I'm starting to keep copies of pictures and VIN's I see for sale.

Wow, the cost of vin tags is rising.

Why doesn't he just include the correctly sized drill bit for the tags as well? I'm surprised he didn't list the correct rivets in the "items I've collected" list.

Dennis, with your metal skillz, you could restore that car nicely!

Jeff, sad to say my vert might as well have looked like that for all I had to replace on it! There's a 3" x 5" section of original sheet metal left on it,........ okay, that's exaggerating....but not by much!

Someone already tried to crush it, and now someone may restore it. Heck, it has its original M-22 with a lead on the original block!

A Blue/Blue early production 4-speed 71 Judge is worth saving IMO.

Could that be a Gold 73 sitting beside it?

I sent the seller a question requesting photos of the tranny and asking how solid the lead was on the original engine. Here is his reply.

Quote:
Do you want to see casting numbers in the photo of the transmission or just an overall picture? It does still have the hurst shifter on it, but no shift knob. The lead on the engine is very solid. I am 90% confident that this guy has the engine which he put in his trans am. The problem is the guy is in jail and I haven't been able to get in touch with him. We can assist with loading the vehicle. The rear axel and part of the front suspension is gone so there isn't anything to put wheels and tires on. I can arrange to have a forklift available to load on a trailer. Previous owners are listed on the title I have. There was only 3 before me.
