Default Where can I buy little drill bits?

Just got Cliff's book, and I'm trying to find the tiny little drill bits needed to open up the holes in the Q-jet. Sears, Lowes, and Ace didn't have them. Is there a place online I can buy them?

I've found that several Hobby (model airplane/model car) Stores in the Austin area carry them along with pin vises and other small tools that come in handy on carbs.

Snap on dealers usually have them on their trucks too. Another source is a tool and die or precision tool supply jobber.

I order stuff like that from McMaster-Carr, by telephone. They have a warehouse about 60 miles from me, so I receive orders the next day.

Hi,
Try Harbor Freight if you have one in town.
Stuff like that is usually locked up behind glass display cabinets.

I got a little hand held bit holder with a small set of the tiny drill bits at my local Rural King (farm store) for about $10. They were in the welding supply section.

Cliff Ruggles sells them (good ones made in the USA that don't break the first time you go to use them) along with standard sets of wire drills that you need for some of the other orifices in the carb (idle mixture passages, etc.)

I got the very smallest ones from Stuller, a jewelers supply house. And the larger ones from Sears.

Avoid using them with hand held power tools as they are easy to break. I use a hand chuck (from an old small hand drill)for my pin vise. If I feel I need to use my drill press I use very low speed and pressure. I can put my hand chuck in the drill press if the press chuck wont hold the smaller bits.
