Default AM radio

I am new to this and have posted on two other forums without any response. I have a 71 Lemans sport that I drive. It has an A.M. radio that appears to work fine. When the key is in the on position it works good. When I start the car and put it in gear the fuse blows. I don't have a clue where to look. Can someone help?
Thanks very much.

If its a column shift look for the steering shift part under the dash to be hitting a bare wire. Had a car once that when you turned on the wipers the radio fuse would blow not on the same fuse. Drove me nuts for a while till I looked under the dash with the wipers on. If its on when you start the car and goes off putting it in gear get the flashlite out its in there someplace.

Default radio question-Thanks

Thank you very much. It is a console shift but I will still look for some bare wires. That sounds reasonable.
Thanks again and I will check back if that is not the problem.

Default reverse lights

maybe the reverse lights are exceeding the capacity. Do the radio and reverse lights share a fuse?

Try posting in the electrical section. You will get a better response.
