Question 74 Formula Fully Functional Ram Air Hood and Air cleaner

What would th value of a fully functional Ram Air hood (the one with the factory fiberglass screens and not block offs), along with the hood rubber boots and air cleaner be worth. These are all GM, from a 74 formula 400 that was totaled. My brother owns these and has always asked me to try and find out their worth.

Value is ALWAYS relative to condition,& BOTH hood & Ram Air base are prone to ALL KINDS of problems.
Hoods warp (along the sides) from engine heat, corners are easily broken,as are the strips above the rear air intake & many were drilled for hood pins, hood tachs & I've actually seen some JOKERS cut shaker holes in them!
Air cleaner bases are prone to RUST & "hammered for Holly" is very common as are extra holes being drilled in them(around the perimeter)

Post some pics & give us an accurate description.

My setup for a 70 is on e-bay now, I would expect the 74 set-up would go for a little bit less.

Default Value

It is all in what someone is willing to pay for a set up. You can figure atleast the minimum range for a set up is $1,200 to 1,500. I've seen 1,200 for just an air cleaner base that was rusty. Good luck.

Wanted to hank everyone for their input. Will et my bro know of it. Was a sweet 400 auto Ramair with posi. Some drunk ran into the back drivers corner and pulled the hole roof down on the car. Was orange with a creme hardtop and white interior...

8 years ago I sold my mint condition 74 ram air cleaner with hood rings, boots and screen for $1150. There comes a time when money talks and I didnt care what it looked like under the hood missing the ram air stuff..
