Default quick question

before i look like a fool. i thought our GPs up til 77 were considered A bodies? or atleast the 69-72s. Am I wrong? thought only 78-87 were G bodies.

learn something new everyday. EVERYTHING from the GTO swaps over tho for the 69-72 aside from body pieces.

Someone might correct me on this but I believe the chassis on the 69-72 GP's were almost identical to a convertible A-body (boxed frame) only 3 inches longer.

Our cars are listed as "G body" or "A-special"

I remember reading that the frame is a boxed 4 door A-body stretched 4 inches.

ok i just assumed it was an A-body. and i really only asked because there was a set of big tube headers for sale over in the classifieds for G-body grand prix and a fella asked if they would fit 69. I, thinking i was being helpful, said 69 is A-body. another member responded that 69 is infact G-body. i dont know about anyone else but when i hear G-body im automatically thinkin 80s cutlass/ monte/ GPs. as far as our frames who the F knows. i asked this qustion and got nowhere with it because i needed to order a crossmember and the reg. GTO one didnt fit. looks like the gto convert. one fits (im ordering a tubular one for my 700R4 to replace that monstrosity of a crossmember).
All i know is that all the stuff i order for this , suspension and even new floors and carpet when i did them, were odered as 68-72 GTO/chevelle

Have you installed the carpet yet? I have wondered if the A body carpet might be too short for the G body.
