Question 69 Judge Door Decals

Can someone please tell me exactly where do the GM decals go on the door frame? I am trying to put mine on my 69 Judge, but I have looked at several 69 GTOs and they were not in the same position. I looked in the GTO restoration book but could not find anything. Any help sure would be appreciated.
Thanks

I think most will say that '69s never had them.

Wow, no wonder I have seen them in different locations on some 69s. Now that I know that 69s did not have them, I will not put them on my Judge. Thank you for your responses.

Default Door Tag

67bluegto, Mine has it on it, and I would like to know if you have the "KD" tire tag for the door. It's so old I don't think I can get it off in one piece without damaging it. Would like to just get a new one if I can. If you have the "KD" sticker where did you get it?

Thank you, Dennis...

Default decal

speaking of decals, did a 69 ever come with a sticker on the core support showing engine details, etc.?

I understand that most of them didn't come with them, but mine has it on there. My friend bought the car in '77 and he knew a couple of previous owners that date it back to about '72. None of them added it,or even would of cared about it being there. They only beat the heck out of it and passed it on to the next person. So I belive even if it didn't get installed at the factory, maybe the dealer ship in NewCastle installed it. Either way it was sold new with it on the door, and has been a part of the car forever and I would like to put it back on the car.

gtojon- My understanding is "NONE" of these decals were ever on the '69's either, but mine also had the radiator support decal, it was painted over, but it was there. Unfortunatly I don't have any good pic's of it. I had the radiator support stripped and repainted before I realized this sticker thing was such a touchy subject.

Sorry just realized I misunderstood the original question, mine did not have the "GM" tin tag's on it. As a matter of fact I bought a pair of them without knowing the difference at the time and if anyone could use them give me you'r address and I will mail them to you, I will not need them.

Thank's, Dennis...

RUFFJUDGE,

Interesting, never seen one like that, do you know which plant the car came from and when it was built or shipped?

Only 3 decals.

Emissions decal on radiator support, and spare tire decal on underside of trunk lid, and of course R.A on hood scoops.

Default Emissions Decal

Does anyone have a photo on an original decal on the radiator core support? Either RAIII or RA IV?

To me it's very hard to say "NEVER" when we all know how these cars went down the assembly line back then... Not to mention, over the years I have discovered that most people that claim to know everything, probably do not!!!

But thats just my opinion, (we all have one!!!)

I have 2 69 gto's with this decal in the door jamb - the assembley manual also calls it out - but most of the cars did not have it. Maybe an assembly plant deal.

Neither of my '69 Judge have the decal in the door jamb, but they're not exactly low mileage unmolested survivor cars, either.

Other GM cars started getting Tire pressure decals in the Door Jamb beginning in 69 so maybe this was how it was supposed to be but since the 68's had them in the Glove box the assembly line workers continued to put htem in the Glove Box.

I have never seen a glove box tire pressure decal in a 69 gto and only sometimes the door jamb one. I don't think they would be putting the decal in the wrong place.
