Good adhesive spray
Hi, I'm trying to find a good interior adhesive spray, Ive used the 3M automotive adhesive spray on the vinyl covered panels that are on the sides above the rear seats (67 lemans), but not even a month later, the vinyl is separating and is falling off both of the panels, it looks terrible.
 Is there a better adhesive spray out there.. Or something other than a spray?

Which 3M spray adhesive did you use? They make more than one. The better one is the Super Trim Adhesive, part #08090.

I used this tool + brush-on glue for my headliner and the sail panels (that´s what you are talking of?) and had no issues so far...
You´ll get this glue at every partssupplier under section "headliners". There´s a brush-in-cap with the glue but of course, that´s not meant for working larger surfaces...

Despite the fact that I found 3m products to be top shelf during my career, ALL of their spray adhesive is total crap. I used to use a brush-in-lid glue from Kent industries. Save yourself some money, go to a discount hardware store, and buy carpet adhesive, one that is contact cement (paint both sides, let dry, then assemble.)

The stuff I used was the 3M General trim adhesive, not the super. Yes Tom-brandi the sail panels are what I am referring to (forgot the name of the part). I have some 3M Hi-strength 90 spray adhesive but its not automotive. I tried some of the hi strength on a small section of the sail panel and it was too thick, and ended up oozing out of the little decorative holes in the factory vinyl. It would have made a huge mess, had I used it on the whole panel, luckily it cleaned up. I guess I'm gonna need to try some of that contact cement..

Try an HVAC product...
Go to Johnstone Supply in Hawthorne/Gardena and get some spray adhesive for our trade. The stuff is way sticky, we use it to attach fibreglass insulation to ductwork/plenums and it's good for YEARS...Home Depot might have it but the stuff @ Johnstone Supply is the business...PM me if you need the specific name brand...

ask an upholstery shop what they use. I got a can of stuff from a place not far from my house but I can remember the name.
