Wow-61 Ventura 425A 4 speed on ebay
The 61 Ventura has to be the most beautifully styled Pontiac ever made. No matter how many i look at, and from whatever angle, the body lines never cease to amaze me. While i love most Darksiders from 59-64 era, the 61 stands on it's own for some reason IMHO. Here's a blue beauty up to $30,000 already and just listed yesterday. Anybody on these boards own this car?

Jeff Dypwick is the owner, he lives here in the Minneapolis suburbs. I've talked to him several times over the years but he doesn't seem to come out to very many Pontiac events - I think the last time I saw that car in person was at the POCI convention way back in 1982.

63HO, I'd have to agree with you 100%. Of course I'm biased and stuck on the '63 models but Pontiacs are the best looking cars GM ever made and the '61 is at the top of the list. That's my anyways.

Yup, that's a gorgeous car for sure. I am very fond of the '61s as well. I like the Catalinas a bit better but, the Venturas are more popular for sure.
It'll be interesting if it can bring 6 figures... Has any production '61 ( non race car or exec car ) ever brought 6 figs?

Steve,I think the Randy Williams car went for 125 a couple years back with no race history. The Royal car went for 135 some years back.BUT this is a different time and economy.Tom

tom s, you'd certainly know nice when you see it, especially the 61's. Speaking of venturas, did you ever sell the maroon beauty you restored last year? That was a fine car, and worth the $30(i think?) or so you were asking for. Impossible to duplicate at that price if paying a resto shop to do correctly. Then again these cars have a somewhat small, yet dedicated & loyal group of enthusiasts.

Hey TomS, don't you have room for: 4 cars in one garage, 1 in the other garage and then maybe 3 cars in the "drive" and you can still close the gate! Hey isn't the house next door for sale? You could tear it down and put up a nice Building!!! LOL
