Here is the final completed pic to go with the other 4 at the beginning of the thread. These guys are great. I would recommend them to anyone.

That looks phenomenal, but I can't help but think there be a LOT of heat involved in this processes, which I would think = warping when done in big areas. None the less I'd say you saved this Poncho, good job.

Sharkbite,
Thanks.
According to the manual that came with the machine, by the time the molten zinc comes in contact with whatever you are spraying, the temp is 125 degrees. I literally touched the dash within 5 seconds after it was sprayed and it was just warm.
I saw a roof that these guys had done on a 67 Firebird. It was an original vinyl top car. The owner wanted the top removed, rust fixed and the entire roof sprayed using this process. He was going back with a vinyl top and didnt want to have to worry about rust later. I didnt see any warpage of the panel at all.

That looks great. I wish I'd known about this before I got into repairing my roof...I think I'm too far down the path now to turn back.
Maybe on the next one, I'll try them.

OK, now that a couple of years have passed, how is it holding up? There have been a lot of people on here concerned about corrosion in the zinc. One poster in another thread even said it would make the paint bubble up.

I am very satisfied with the job that these guys did.
Still satisfied?

Do you drive it in weather?

Do they media blast underneath, or just on top?

The dash repair looks today just like it did when I had it done. Im not driving the Firebird yet, so there is no weather contact. The restification is on hold. I resided my house last year and have been trying to get on top of some bills right now. I hope to start back up after the kids go to school.
The dash was media blasted on top and underneath.
