Dont use Bumper Boys. A lot of bad experiences with their chrome.

I used TriCity Plating. They are the other major bumper replater. They do great work. They are usually at Carlisle. Last year I brought my T/A rear bumper to them at Carlisle to save shipping and they had it back to me in the promised 6 weeks. No delays, and they give you a fixed price with shipping. I think it was $300 total. Excellent quality. I also bought a rear bumper from them for my Charger 5 years ago and it still looks great. If they dont have the bumper you need in stock (like the one for my Charger) then they will redo yours. That is why I brought them mine. They said they rarely have 70-73 Firebird bumper cores.

Here's their website: http://www.tricityplating.com/

I agree with NiceTA; they need to look into reproducing the 70-73 rear tail panels and supply sheetmetal before they start repopping bumpers with inferior Chinese pot metal.

It doesn't make sense why they make 67-69 and 74+ rear tail panels while completely skipping over the 70-73's; especially since 70-73 TA's & Formulas are at the top of the resto 'bird food chain. It's companies like that that make guys like me search for donor cars to chop the tail sections off of. If that last used tail panel that went for almost $900 on eBay is any indication, there's definetly a market for them.

I gave up and finally found a nice core. Last time I checked they removed them from their website.

Has anybody got one of these bumpers yet, from whatever vendor? Found this website but haven't spoken to them. Can't justify the cost of rechroming for just a base model car, but I'd go $200 for a decent repro.

I ordered one last night after I saw the post and got the response below from them today -

We are sorry, Goodmark is showing this item discontinued, and we have called
several of our mfgrs and no one is making these bumpers at this time.
We are sorry for any inconvenience.

Thank you
