What does your vehicle's title say?(firebird, formula, trans am)
Does your vehicle title show your car as Firebird, Formula(350,400,455), or Trans Am?
Just curious if your state puts designations other than Firebird. |

Mine just says 1973 Pontiac. No mention of any bird or engine size. There is mention of "CP" under "body type model" which I guess is short for coupe. This is from California, so I'm lucky to be allowed to start the car.

All my titles have Pontiac and Coupe on them but not the exact model. Sometime in the early 2000's Wisconsin added the car color so my '73 and '82 T/As have RED on the title.

Mine in Tennessee says Pontiac Trans Am.. I think it is a state by state deal. Which is how it should be..

On my 73 Formula the Florida title said 73 Pontiac, and the Ohio title said 73 Pontiac Firebird.

mid 80s NJ title had 73 Pont. Fir.
i can't recall what my VT title for the car had on it. |

My 70 TA says "1970 Pontiac 2 Door", on its Michigan registration. A very precise and accurate description. My 1966 GTO also says "1966 Pontiac 2 Door".
