73 LCA Bolts
Guys,
Does anyone know where I can get new lower control arm bolts for my 73 Firebird Espirit? I didn't think these would be different between the 2nd Gen years, but apparently they are. All the parts places have the 72 and older bolts that have a 1/2 X 13 thread pitch. Mine are 9/16 X 12. The nuts have no run on torque at all and are actually floppy on the bolts. Ive searched the forum here and didn't come up with anything. As usual, TIA,

Go to a local GM parts counter and see if they have a cross reference or still carry 336185 bolts. The size is 9/16-12 x 3-3/4" long. Are you sure you don't need just the nut instead? Otherwise, a lot of '73-6 GM cars would have the bolts.

I would like to replace all 4 if I can. 2 of them have pretty bad pitting in the threads. Ill check the local parts counter.

Here is the name of a junk yard that has more than 75 70-81 Firebirds. Bet they can pull some original ones for a couple bucks each.
