Default small restoration

whats up guys i have a 78 grand prix i got it when i was 16 it was my mothers be before me it has been sitting for a few years and now i am 25 and going to fix her up a bit and drive her i have a 78 chevy pickup also that i am doing a whole restoation on anyway the pontiac needs its floor redone and body work mostly and a tuneup the old 301 that i will upgrade in a few years right now i am try to find a leak from my windshield i think here is some pics i have so far

You may want to look for rust under the hood towards the cowl. Water may be comming in that way. I have water comming into one of my car due to a bad weatherstrip.

N.C seems to be the breeding ground for G Body cars, many of mine came from there.

The W(4 barrel) or Y(2 barrel) will be in you vin# and just tells you what your 301 should have for a car.

Are you going to sandblast or sand the floor?

i found the leak it was coming from the corner of the windsheild so i tryed to seal it up lol it might be ok but yea there is a few g bodys around here and my 301 has a 2 barrel so theres my answer anyway i am going to sand the floor because i dont have a sand blaster but i am going to get one this summer

well since i found the leak, i started working on the floor again. So i started with the hump and i am going to work my way down, but while i was sanding the floor, i seen that the seat mount was rusting so i sanded it and it made holes come out so i just got my drill and drilled the spot welds out and i am going to take it off and sand the whole area
