Default How to remove window tint glue

Anyone have a suggestion?? I got one window done and it was a huge mess using Goo-Gone. Not to mention that it ruined part of the door panel. I have one window left. Anything special I should try?

soap and water in a sprey bottle, keep the window wet and scrape it off.

3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner Part # 051135-08984. Try your local car parts store. Find a auto body supply store, one that supplies body shops. John

Whatever you use to remove the adhesive I would tape some newspaper to the door panel to protect it.

Acetone which is nail polish remover will do the job. Make sure to wear to latex gloves and tape anything off that you may get the acetone on. The acetone will stain whatever it hits. Use a lint free rag to apply to 4" to 6" area at a time and scrape away. Any application larger is a waste as the acetone will evaporate and you will likely drip it on something you didn't want to.

we remove the interior panel before trying to remove film as some tinting outfits go below the sweeper on the glass , and then scrape as much residue off with a plastic razor ( these are made for removing decals without the worry of scratching the glass ( get them here http://www.autobodytoolmart.com/) then wash the window with 3M adhesive remover or lauquer thinnner

I've used WD-40 and a razor blade to remove adhesive off of glass.
